Alfred, Lord Tennyson was born and spent much of his early life in Lincolnshire, and it remained a profound inspiration to him – particularly the coastal towns such as Mablethorpe.
Of historic interest on your left- where Lincolnshire meets Norfolk - is The Wash. Supposedly where King John lost the Crown Jewels to an incoming tide, it remains one of Britain’s top destinations for treasure hunters!
